Behind a seemingly anonymous doorway on Manhattan's famous music business street is one of the world's most distinctive studios. Right Track Recording has been a leading-edge facility virtually since its inception 25 years ago. Will Smith, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Pat Metheny won 1998 Grammys for material recorded at Right Track, and numerous other major artists, including Busta Rhymes, Barbara Streisand, Metallica, David Bowie, Sting, Whitney Houston, Madonna, and the Rolling Stones have all found a home for their music at the facility.

With the addition of the largest dedicated recording studio in New York City at the West 38th Street location, Right Track has the ability to cater to any recording need and any style of music. From film scores to hip-hop, classical masterworks to rock albums, or broadway musicals to pop chart-toppers, all genres of music have found a successful home at Right Track.

One of the things that people really respond to is the fact that they can work completely in a 24-bit digital environment here," explains Simon Andrews, Right Track's owner and founder. "On the other hand, we also have three of the finest high-end analog consoles in the world, a Neve VX and two SSL 9000J consoles, along with classic Studer and Ampex analog multitrack and 2-track decks, and incredible vintage and contemporary outboard equipment. So it's truly the best of both worlds here."

The attention to detail that is so evident in Right Track's technology and acoustics is equally present in the facility's high level of client service. "When you review our client list, you see that these are artists who require a high degree of attention," says manager Barry Bongiovi. "We anticipate client needs and keep maintenance extremely high, which enables us to make the studios places of creativity. You bring the music, we'll take care of of the rest."
